Christmas preparation doesn’t need to be stressful. Don’t stress, you’ve got this! Create a list for everything! To fail to prepare is to prepare to fail, as the saying goes.
So follow our checklist for everything that you need to get ready for the first gathering that you have had in ages!
Christmas preparation sounds scary. Don’t Panic… We’ve got a plan in action.
Christmas preparation … So what do you do? What are the next steps? How are the carpets looking? A bit tired after lockdown, kids, pets and general autumnal weather? As the weather turns, the floor does take a hammering and what about the furniture? looking a bit grimy around the edges? Sofa, armchairs and dining chairs looking a bit dirtier than the rest of the cushions? Let’s start from the bottom to the top.
Here’s a checklist:
Dust all the corners that often get overlooked, the cornicing on the ceiling, the places where you never normally look. How do the lights look? It’s always the things like the dusty lampshade and bulbs that are usually unseen on a daily basis. There are places in the home such as skirting boards, landing balustrades, bannisters and those sneaky bits around the fireplace. Anybody looked behind the fridge recently? Don’t! no one is going to be looking there.
Luckily, you can get it all done in one fell swoop with a Rug Doctor. With all the attachments a Rug Doctor can do your stairs and all those places that are always hard to reach. What’s even better, the machine can be delivered and dropped off at your door. Leaving you time to catch up with anything else that you need to do… like, having a cup of tea!
How does that staircase look? Have they had a load of footfall? You can’t forget the fact that people will be visiting this year – I think we may have got used to not having people around over the last couple of years.
Of course there are those of us who will be alone this Christmas, however, that’s no excuse for slacking! We all deserve some time off and there is better no better space to be than in our own safe place and… a clean one. A clean home leads to a healthy mind and even if we are sitting watching Netflix and having 2 hour baths, lets do it in the best environment. Clean bedding and pj’s are a Christmas staple, chocolate and your preffered tipple on Christmas Eve are essential, no reason why the traditions shouldn’t keep carrying on, eh?
From all at Rug Doctor, we wish you a very happy, peacful and clean Christmas and New Year!
