No / Low Spray

If you are experiencing no / low spray on your Rug Doctor Deep Carpet Cleaner, please attempt the troubleshooting methods below.

  • Please ensure that your machine is in the correct cleaning mode as per the switch on the handle.
  • Please ensure that the grey screwcaps on the tanks are securely in place and not damaged.
  • Please ensure that the tanks themselves are sat securely and properly on the machine and not damaged.
  • Please check the water levels in the clean water tank. If the tank is empty, then please refill the machine before continued use.
  • Please ensure that there is no debris on the spray tips that could be obstructing the machine from performing correctly. These spray tips can be cleaned using a soft bristle brush. We do not recommend using wire brushes as these can crumble the spray tips.

No / Low Suction

If you are experiencing no / low suction on your Rug Doctor Deep Carpet Cleaner, please attempt the troubleshooting methods below.

  • Please ensure that your machine is in the correct cleaning mode as per the switch on the handle.
  • Please ensure that the grey screwcaps on the tanks are securely in place and not damaged.
  • Please ensure that the tanks themselves are sat securely and properly on the machine and not damaged.
  • Please check the water levels in the waste water tank. If the tank is full, then please empty the machine before continued use.
  • Please ensure that there is no debris that could be obstructing the machine from performing correctly.
  • To prevent an internal blockage, we recommend to leave the machine running for 30-60 seconds after each use to clear any chemical or debris from the internals of the machine.

No Power / Tripping Electrics

If you are experiencing no power / tripping electrics on your Rug Doctor Deep Carpet Cleaner, there are unfortunately very minimal troubleshooting that we are able to provide with electrical faults. However, please do ensure the following.

  • Please ensure that your machine is not being used in any extension leads.
  • Please attempt to use the machine in different sockets in the household.
  • Please look for any water leaks or visible damages that could be causing water to enter the internals/electrical units.

Brushes not Oscillating/Vibrating

If you are experiencing your brushes not oscillating or vibrating on your Rug Doctor Deep Carpet Cleaner, please attempt the troubleshooting methods below.

  • Please ensure that your machine is in the correct cleaning mode as per the switch on the handle.
  • Please ensure that there is no debris that could be obstructing the machine from performing correctly.
  • Please ensure that you are holding the red “DEEP CLEAN” button on the handle for the entire duration that you would like the brushes to oscillate/vibrate.
  • Please ensure that your machine is switched on properly.
