Learn how to use the Rug Doctor and achieve professional results every time by following our step by step user guide. HOW TO USE YOUR RUG DOCTOR
- Move furniture to one side or out of the room.
- Place kitchen foil under furniture legs to avoid any rust from castors or wood
dye stains from furniture legs. - Clean carpet starting from one edge of room.
- When finished, leave foil under furniture legs until carpet is completely dry. Complete the following steps to clean the rest of your carpets:
Before you begin
Rug Doctor machines and cleaning products are safe for almost all carpets, however please check your carpets and hard floor surfaces are suitable for water extraction cleaning.
Do not use - or place the Rug Doctor machine or cleaning products on - natural fibre, oriental rugs (silk or wool), hand-loomed wool rugs, braided rugs, sisal or jute carpets; hardwood or laminate floorings.Only use luke warm water when cleaning wool.
Prepare carpet for cleaning
- Vacuum the area you want to clean to remove any loose surface dirt before using the Rug Doctor machine.
- Pre-treat any special problem areas with the appropriate Rug Doctor cleaning products.
